Golf Tournament
Annually, our Club hosts the Golf Tournament, which has been a very popular venue among regular and seasonal golfers.
Spaghetti Dinner
Shortly after the Optimist Club of St. Charles was chartered in 1971, our member Earnie Dempsey, owner of Pio’s restaurant, suggested that we have a spaghetti dinner as our major fundraiser. Earnie himself became the first chairman to lead that event in 1971.
The Spaghetti Dinner remains one of our major fundraisers supporting Youth Activities and other Community Service Projects in our area. We have now served 54 consecutive dinners, except for 2020. A Spaghetti Dinner is always a fun and nutritious event for the whole family.
Trivia Night
It is a good opportunity to check your wits and trivia knowledge. If luck is not by your side, the good mood and fellowship will win over any perishable prizes.
Show-Me Stampede All-Ford Rally
This event is not only for those who appreciate the beauty and power of the steel “horses” but also for visitors who will be able to enjoy freshly grilled brats and hot dogs.
Pundmann Ford Fest at Quick Lane
Ford Fest at Quick Lane is a fun community event that was started by Rick Pundmann, the owner of Pundmann Ford and the Club’s founding member, sixteen years ago. Sadly, Rick Pundmann passed away a few years ago, but his initiative is carried on by his family. It has been a tradition of the Optimist Club of St. Charles to prepare and serve free food for that annual event.
