  Congratulations to our new President and Board of Directors!

   The Optimist Club of St. Charles conducted its annual end-of-year banquet, a night of remembrance, recognition, and board member inductions. A highlight of the night was Steve Harker’s amazing video that gave us a look back at club activities along with a tribute to Rick Pundmann, who suddenly passed away at the beginning of 2023.

   Rick was a devoted club member who defined the meaning of Optimism. Rick cultivated our partnership with Pundmann Ford, which helped us raise thousands of dollars for the youth of St. Charles. Rick’s widow, Marge, and close friends Terry and Linda Meyer were in attendance. 

   Dale Westby was recognized as the “Optimist of the Year” for the many things he does for the betterment of our club. Then, following the induction of the 2023-2024 Board of Directors, Gerry Prinster passed the gavel to new club President Paul Hauser, who gave an insight into plans for the coming year.
