   Our Club held our Essay contest recognition event for the winning contestants and their parents. The Essay contest gives young people the opportunity to write about their own opinions on an assigned topic about Optimism. This year’s topic was “How Optimism Has Paved My Road to Success.” The top three finishers were Millie Hanks, Lisa Niewald and Stella Bildner. Following lunch, Lisa and Stella read their winning essays to the delight of our members. Unfortunately Millie was unable to attend. As the first place finisher, Millie’s essay was submitted to the District contest to compete for a $2,500 college scholarship.
