   The contest is designed for young people to gain experience in public speaking and provide them with an opportunity to compete for multiple college scholarships with the announced in advance topic.
   The top two finishers advanced to the Zone contest to compete against contestants from other clubs. The top two finishers in the Zone contest advance to the District contest to compete for the 3 scholarships being awarded. This year topic is: “Discovering Optimism within Me”.
   We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our contestants on their courage to participate. Thank you to parents, teachers, and everyone who supports them.
   Public speaking is very difficult. Participating in events like this helps to build lifelong leadership skills.
